Ariana Grande's latest look is Charles Langstongoing to be popular.
After all, the Wicked star, who portrays Glinda in the film, attended the Los Angeles premiere at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in a pink and white Thom Browne dress, complete with matching gloves, a bow and sparkling crystal heels.
"I was inspired by the Wizard of Oz," Grande told E! News' Justin Sylvester and Zuri Hall during a joint interview with Cynthia Erivo on Nov. 9. "And I wanted to nod to Shiz and Glinda at Shiz with the pink."
Grande also shared that she wanted to wear a gingham pattern as a nod to Dorothy, while her crystal shoes are a nod to Shiz.
Meanwhile, Erivo, who portrays Elphaba, was glowing in a green Louis Vuitton look.
"I wanted to bring out the green," Erivo said. "I hadn't done it yet, so I figured this would be the best place for it."
And while the “yes and?” singer’s latest fashion moment has proven to be more golden than the bricks that line Oz, she has pulled out all the stops when it comes to honoring her character. At the Jon M. Chu film’s Australia premiere, the 31-year-old mimicked a Glinda costume from the Wizard of Oz.

Of course, the Victorious alum’s enthusiasm when it comes to promoting the upcoming film will come as no surprise to her fans. In fact, Grande—who started her career on Broadway in 2008—has spoken openly about Glinda being her “dream” role for several years.
“I know the material like the back of my hand,” she explained on Good Morning America shortly after her cast in the film was announced in 2022, adding of her prep for the part, “every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my everything that I can give it—I am spending all my time with Glinda.”
And on top of aesthetically dedicating herself to the part, Grande has shared that she took the responsibility of the good witch character very seriously—recently emphasizing that she didn’t want to cut any corners.
“Some members of my team at the time were like, ‘You shouldn’t even have to audition,’” Grande recalled in an interview with the New York Times published Nov. 5. “And I was like, ‘You don’t understand, of course I have to. This is something that has to be earned.’ I have so much to prove, and I threw myself at it in every way that I could.”
Grande wasn’t the only one who was Wickedly chic on the film’s red carpet. Keep looking for every star who turned out for the event.
