Ben Napier is known for helping remodel homes, but it's his recent body transformation that has wife Erin Napier talking.
Erin, who co-hosts HGTV's "Home Town" with Napier, gave her husband's fitness journey a shoutout in an Instagram post celebrating Napier's 40th birthday Sunday.
Erin shared a pair of photos of Napier, the first one being an image of Napier and Erin's father holding a joint birthday cake with their respective ages, 40 and 70, written in navy blue icing.
"Lordy lordy, Big Ben is 40! He and my daddy both had milestone birthdays this week!" Erin wrote. "I want to be like you, (Ben): never looking back or feeling sad about our youth getting further away, but always feeling so grateful for right now."
Erin also praised Napier’s progress with his physical fitness by sharing a shirtless gym selfie of Napier posing in front of a mirror.
"You've worked so hard this year to rehab your shoulder and transformed yourself in the process," Erin wrote. "The girls and I are so thankful for you. Here’s to 50 more birthdays together. I love you!"
Napier's wife previously opened up about his fitness journey, spurred by a major surgery earlier this year, in an Instagram post in July. In the post, Erin shared a video of Napier dressed to the nines in a light blue, button-down shirt and beige pants.
"(Ben) got hardcore about his health and fitness last winter ahead of his big shoulder surgery that was in March so he could sleep better on his back and lower his (blood pressure). Mission accomplished 🔥"
In years past, Napier has discussed the importance of his fitness journey — and what motivates him to continue to strive for good health.
Being a dad, he told Today in 2019, was one of those motivators. The Napiers, who married in 2008, share two daughters: Helen, 5, and Mae, 2.
"Bringing Helen home and getting to experience those first few weeks with her and seeing how fast things change with children, it got my attention," Napier said. "She was different every day, and I want to experience as much of her life as possible. I want a long life so I can be there for Erin and Helen."
